THE Event

That's what we are calling it, because it is...THE Event. The Creative Connection Event is a 3-day conference, crafting extravaganza and shopping mecca for creative women, women entrepreneurs and “mompreneurs”, created by Nancy Soriano and Jo Packham of Where Women Create. Heather Bailey, Amy Butler, Ree Drummond, MaryJane Butters, Heather Bullard will be there, loads and loads of fabulous talent, bloggers, fabric designers, magazine and book editors-- a wealth of knowledge and a barrel of fun. I cannot wait to hit the road. I'll be meeting my friend Ruth there. Ruth is fabric obsessed just like me! All it took was one email from her and we decided it was a MUST.



The event is less than 4 weeks away and I have decided that I will be wearing something handmade to each event.....So the outfit countdown starts now. There is a pajama party that we'll be attending so I think I am going to start with a robe. I found a really fun pattern here and am thinking I'll do a knit and woven combo. And since I have never sewn a knit in my life, it should be an interesting process. I just did a little research on sewing tips and got a few good pointers.
